PTSD Resolution Policy Statement on
Commitment to Supporting UK Reservists

PTSD Resolution is deeply committed to supporting the UK’s Reserve Forces and recognising the invaluable contributions Reservists make to our armed forces. As a charity dedicated to helping Veterans, Reservists, and their families, we strive to create a supportive environment for those who balance reserve duties with work and their civilian lives.

Our Commitment

In line with our mission and the Employer Recognition Scheme, PTSD Resolution pledges to:

  • Promote a culture that actively values and supports Reservists and Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers (CFAVs)
  • Advocate for the benefits of Reserve service and CFAVs in the broader community
  • Provide mental health support services tailored to the unique needs of Reservists
  • Collaborate with other organisations to enhance support for Reservists
  • Participate in events and initiatives that recognise Reservists’ contributions

How We Support Reservists

Specialised Mental Health Services

Our network of therapists understands the unique challenges faced by Reservists. We offer prompt, local, and effective trauma therapy to help Reservists maintain good mental health alongside their military commitments.

Advocacy and Awareness

We actively promote the value of Reserve service through our public communications, events, and partnerships. Our aim is to increase understanding and appreciation of Reservists’ roles in society and in the workplace.

Research and Insights

PTSD Resolution conducts and shares research on supporting Reservists’ mental health and well-being. We use these insights to continually improve our services and inform public policy.

Volunteer Opportunities

We offer various volunteer roles for Reservists who wish to support our cause, allowing them to use their unique skills and experiences to help others.

Trauma Awareness Training for Employers (TATE)

Our TATE programme offers essential training for organisations to better support Reservists and other employees who may be affected by trauma. TATE helps create trauma-informed workplaces, fostering an environment where Reservists and others can thrive. This training has been successfully delivered to various organisations, including corporations and NHS trusts, with excellent feedback from participants.
