PTSD Resolution Wins National Healthcare & Rehabilitation Award

PTSD Resolution has won the Healthcare & Rehabilitation Award at the Armed Forces Community Awards at Soldiering On 2026, in recognition of how it has transformed mental health treatment for veterans, reservists and their families.

PTSD Resolution's award submission centred on its Four Pillars strategy: Accessibility, Acceptability, Effectiveness and Economic Efficiency. Built from 16 years of experience treating veterans, the strategy puts the client at the centre and turns that experience into a structured, measurable way of delivering care.

Its impact shows in the charity's growth. Over the last 12 months, the number of people receiving therapy from PTSD Resolution has doubled to more than 700. Close collaboration with therapists and partner organisations has helped build that growing confidence in the service, and with it, rising demand.

The Four Pillars ask four simple questions: can people reach us? Will they stay engaged? Does the treatment work? Are we making the best use of the funds entrusted to us? These questions shape everything from initial contact and therapist matching to clinical measurement and financial management.

About PTSD Resolution

PTSD Resolution was founded in 2009 by Colonel Tony Gauvain (retired) and therapist Piers Bishop. It has now treated more than 5,500 people, providing free, confidential, one-to-one trauma therapy through a nationwide network of Human Givens therapists.
