PTSD Resolution Honours Top Fundraisers at House of Lords Reception

On Tuesday 21st May, UK Veterans’ mental health charity PTSD Resolution recognised three exceptional fundraisers at their annual reception held at the House of Lords. 

Jonathan Thomson, Tanya Hodges and Richard Wyatt were each presented with a bespoke PTSD Resolution commissioned award in appreciation of their tireless efforts to support those struggling with the impacts of trauma. 

Founded in 2009, PTSD Resolution is a registered charity dedicated to providing free and effective therapy for UK Veterans, Reservists and their families. Accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists to the Quality Network for Veterans Mental Health Services (QNVMHS), the charity has had over 4,000 referrals to date – with therapy delivered through a UK-wide network of 200 therapists, either in-person, online or by phone.

 Minimal overheads mean all funds raised go to support therapy delivery and essential research. 

Richard Wyatt A PTSD Resolution Ambassador and senior member of the International Lions Clubs, Richard Wyatt has been instrumental in facilitating significant donations to PTSD Resolution over the past eight years.

 His dedication, including taking calls day and night, has resulted in 87 Lions Clubs funding treatment for 106 veterans. The Lions' generosity enables PTSD Resolution to provide locally-delivered mental health therapy by accredited professionals to Veterans, Reservists and family members in need. 

Tanya Hodges A PTSD Resolution Ambassador and committed fundraiser, Tanya Hodges has supported the charity since 2018. She has summited Kilimanjaro, hiked to Everest Base Camp and completed a 100km Ultra Hike along the South Coast of England - with another 100km trek along the Cotswold Way in June 2024. Tanya's efforts also extend beyond fundraising; she has lobbied the Department of Transport to include PTSD in their training syllabus, which she now delivers as an aviation security trainer at Gatwick Airport. As Tanya says "I have seen first-hand – at PTSD Resolution's conferences – just how far the sponsorship money goes to saving the lives of our Veterans. I will continue to help in any way I can. I feel honoured to be an Ambassador and to raise funds and awareness for the charity." 

The evening at the House of Lords celebrated the incredible dedication of these three individuals, whose efforts have made a profound impact on the lives of so many. With ongoing fundraising efforts and increased awareness, PTSD Resolution can expand its reach, ensuring that no Veteran, Reservist or family member is left to struggle alone with the debilitating effects of trauma.
