PTSD Resolution announces its 2025 Annual Conference, "Being Exceptional: The Challenge of Difference," taking place on Saturday, 4 October 2025 at The Victory Services Club in London. The ground-breaking event will confront the urgent need for effective mental health treatment for individuals who fall outside mainstream services—including veterans struggling with addiction, those in the criminal justice system, and people facing severe socio-economic hardship. Book Tickets Online.

The conference brings together frontline experts from across the UK to share evidence-based strategies for engaging with and treating those whom traditional systems often fail. With 6 hours of CPD-certified content, the event promises practical, real-world solutions rather than theoretical approaches.

Charles Highett, CEO of PTSD Resolution, said: "This conference represents a crucial conversation about those living on society's margins—veterans and others facing multiple, complex challenges. We're bringing together experts who work at the sharp end of trauma recovery, addiction, poverty, and reintegration. Their insights will be invaluable for any professional serious about making a real difference in mental health treatment."

Distinguished Speaker Line-Up Addresses Critical Issues

The conference features leading practitioners tackling society's most challenging mental health contexts:

Dr Ben Grall, CGL National Lead for Veterans, will present integrated care models for veterans dealing with both substance misuse and PTSD, including controversial approaches to treating those still actively using
Dr Sarah Troughton, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead at NHS Veterans Network, explores how financial hardship and moral injury compound trauma
Chris Parsons, Director of LandWorks, shares successful strategies for reintegrating ex-offenders into society
Adrian McNulty, Director of Operations at Lucy Faithfull Foundation, addresses the challenging intersection of trauma, technology, and safeguarding in child protection
Bill Andrews from PTSD Resolution presents groundbreaking new data from the International Trauma Questionnaire, revealing insights from hundreds of therapy cases

Evidence-Based Impact from the Margins

PTSD Resolution, which has treated 4,500 clients nationwide, delivers exceptional results with 82% of veterans, reservists and families completing their mental health treatment programme, achieving a 79% reliable improvement rate and 66% recovery rate for PTSD cases, all at just £940 per therapy course. The charity's inclusive approach extends to those often excluded from other services, including veterans with addiction issues and those in prison.

Charles Highett added: "Our data shows that effective treatment is possible even for those facing the most complex challenges. This conference will share what works, based on real evidence from thousands of cases. We're moving beyond rhetoric to focus on practical, deliverable solutions that transform lives."
