"Before PTSD Resolution my mind was upside down and I was a completely different person to what I am now. I had no self-esteem, I often felt angry at the world and those around me. At the time I was not sure why I felt like this. I was obviously aware of the traumatic events that I went through, as they kept on playing like a video in my mind. Certain situations, music and films would sometimes trigger these images and I would end up feeling depressed.
"Because of my therapy, these images/flashbacks have totally gone - and I would struggle to conjure up these terrible times from my memory now. As I mentioned, music I listened to used to bring back certain memories - not good ones - but now I sit back and enjoy the music without the flashbacks or images.
"It has been noted by my wife, son, mother and some work colleagues how much calmer and more approachable I have become over the last few months. I find myself taking daily work problems in my stride, whereas before I would get angry, frustrated and probably not be able to cope with such demands or problems. Everything now seems to be on a level playing field - there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for why these problems have occurred. I find myself more tolerant with other work colleagues. I am more focused on my work and personal life.
