"I experienced a number of traumatic events while working as a team medic on a tour of Afghanistan. I remember coming to the end of the tour and sitting down and crying because I had seen seven of my friends die. I had had these experiences that weren't normal and they had changed me, and I couldn't talk to my family about them because they didn't understand.
"I was not offered any help or support from the Army. Even when I said I wanted to leave, nobody asked me if I was okay or needed any help. I left in 2010 when I was just 22 years old. I have spent the last 10 years keeping all of these feelings in.
"It was my partner who found out about PTSD Resolution. She was searching for couples counselling, which we received from PTSD Resolution, alongside individual sessions for myself. The therapy has made a huge difference to my life. I used to keep myself to myself. I thought people were judging me and I didn't feel comfortable talking to others. I had anger problems too. I could feel myself boiling up and would always fight fire with fire. Since therapy, I am so much calmer, relaxed and able to deal with challenging situations. I don't care what other people are thinking and doing. I just go out and live my life. I am so much happier.
"The therapy sessions with my partner have also made a huge difference. We used to clash all the time but we have both learned how to communicate with each other. Don't get me wrong, it isn't perfect but we now have the tools and the understanding to communicate effectively.
"I would definitely recommend PTSD Resolution to others. It was hard for me at the beginning because I had blocked out so much and couldn't admit that I had a problem. I thought everyone else was to blame. But opening up has been very rewarding. If anyone out there is feeling like I did, then you should contact PTSD Resolution. I am so lucky and grateful for all the support and care you gave to me and my partner. It has saved our relationship and my family. Thank you very, very much."
