"I was deployed to Afghanistan with the TA in April 2009 and spent six months there. Naively, I was so excited about going on active duty; it felt like a holiday, at first. But, over time, I experienced a number of really upsetting events. I saw friends get blown up and I had to pick up their body parts.
"When I got back, I left the TA and returned to my job but things didn't feel right. It seemed like nobody recognised what I had been through and I started to feel very stressed and angry all the time. I continued like this for five years but, last year, I finally hit rock bottom when I boiled over at work. At that point, I realised that I needed help. I knew I had PTSD because I was experiencing flashbacks from my tour of Afghanistan.
"I went to my GP who prescribed Talking Therapies but the sessions didn't help. I felt as though the counsellor didn't really care. So, I started looking online for help and that's how I found PTSD Resolution. Their treatment was really different to anything else I have experienced because it focuses on specific problems, like dealing with flashbacks. After treatment, I can say that I feel brilliant! I am so much more positive, my lifhas improved and my flashbacks are rare now. As such, I would highly recommend PTSD Resolution to other people out there with PTSD. I found this experience to be really helpful."
