"I experienced some traumatic events while serving on a hospital ship in the Falklands in 1982. When I came home, I felt as though something was missing and that normal life felt strange. I had sweats during the night and when the nearby Marine base did test firing, I used to shake and find it impossible to settle. My wife picked up on these strange reactions but neither her nor myself realised that they were the symptoms of PTSD.
"While I had counselling on my return from the Falklands, I found it useless. They just kept asking me what happened and how I felt about it. They also insisted on having my wife and children present at the sessions and I thought this was inappropriate because my children were too young to understand and my wife wasn't on tour so asking about her feelings seemed senseless.
"I found about PTSD Resolution at a shopping centre in Coventry. I got chatting with a man who was collecting on behalf of the charity and he suggested that I get in touch. I found the treatment with PTSD Resolution to be a great help. My therapist has taught me a number of techniques which have helped me to relax and sleep better. I've also really benefited from the Rewind Technique because it has enabled me to resolve all the existing conflict in my mind.
"I would recommend PTSD Resolution without a doubt. I cannot think of anything more they can do and I thank them sincerely!"
