"My traumatic event occurred while I was on tour in Afghanistan in the winter of 2011/2012 as part of a specialist operations team. By the end of the tour, I was experiencing the symptoms of PTSD but kept them to myself for fear of being sent home. "After returning home, I felt depressed, angry, unsociable and really wasn't behaving like a nice person. I hit rock bottom and even thought about taking my own life. I was consumed by nightmares, flashbacks and suffered terrible sleep. I could no longer carry out basic tasks and my personal relationships began to fall apart.
