I have had 6 sessions and to start with was a little worried about how I would deal with it, However I was made to feel comfortable and was able to talk when I have not been able to in the past reference my PTSD issues. As I continued to carry on with the sessions I started to relax more and could pretty much talk to him about anything. I still have issues however I am a totally different person now so I would 100% recommend therapy for anyone that has troubles in their lives. I am now in a totally better place now than what I was before I started therapy so I cant thank my therapist enough for his help with dealing with me and my problems. SS, N. Ireland, Kosovo, Iraq x2, Afghanistan I'd just like to say a huge thank you for the work you've done with me over the last couple of months. I'm very clear in my mind that without your help I would not be in the position I find myself today. The treatment you gave has allowed me to put years of issues with PTSD behind me: my sleep is better, I no longer feel uncomfortable when thinking about the incidents and I no longer feel the guilt associated with being the one who made it back to Germany physically unscathed. My actions then cannot be changed by me wishing it now – sometimes these things just happen and I did everything possible at that time and under those circumstances. Without doubt, being able to receive treatment that fitted around my "normal" life was a huge benefit. When I approached Combat Stress, their only solution seemed to be their residential scheme. I am sure this is an effective treatment, but for those people with a job to maintain and family to support, 6 weeks away is not an option. Through PTSD Resolution funding my sessions with you, we were able to fit around my day and for that I thank you enormously. Just that simple act lowered the stress levels in getting treatment! Your approach to my treatment was frankly brilliant. I always had full confidence in you and left every session feeling a step closer to the goal. As well as relieving the PTSD symptoms, you've helped me deal with the everyday stresses of life in a much more composed way. My therapist really noticed the difference the other day when I lost my wallet – it was really annoying but I didn't fly off the handle! It just went down as one of life's little annoyances that there is no point in dwelling on. I would wholeheartedly recommend any ex-service member, or anyone else, suffering with PTSD to take the leap and get treatment. You and PTSD Resolution have enabled me to turn around my life, and my family's lives, for the better. Thank you.
