"In the past I have kept things to myself and found some things very hard to deal with.
When I left the army things started to go drastically wrong. My wife left me and this made things worse. I started to behave recklessly and although I managed to keep a job nothing else in my life was working well and I knew I had to do something.
I searched the Internet for help and found the phone number for PTSDR.
"The lady I spoke to was very kind and I was quickly referred to a counselor who seemed to understand everything and made it easy for me to talk. I had never shared these experiences with anyone before and that was a big thing for me but now I can discuss them easily. In fact I seem to be able to help others who hold things in. I would never have believed I could have been helped in this way but now I know there is away through and I would definitely recommend it to others.
"The service is first class and the only suggestion for improvement I could make would be to go to the regiment with the information about what can be done. It is difficult to admit that you need help and this way help might be more acceptable and get to people more quickly."
