PTSD Resolution at CIISec LIVE 2025 Conference

PTSD Resolution at CIISec LIVE 2025 Conference

PTSD Resolution, the UK-based mental health charity specialising in trauma therapy, announces its participation at CIISec LIVE 2025, the premier cybersecurity conference taking place on 25 November 2025 at the Hilton London Heathrow.

Mental health charity to showcase trauma-aware support services and lead panel discussion on supporting employees through personal crises

Free training for CIISec members

PTSD Resolution is offering CIISec members complimentary Trauma Awareness Training and Education (TATE) courses in early 2025: a one-hour introductory session on 29th January and a comprehensive half-day workshop on 11th February. These interactive sessions, led by experienced Human Givens trauma therapists, equip managers and HR professionals with practical skills to recognise trauma and burnout, and create supportive workplace environments.

A panel on supporting employees through crisis

At the conference PTSD Resolution will participate as a panel speaker in a critical workshop session titled "Supporting Employees Through Life's Most Difficult Moments." This builds on its strategic partnership with the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec) launched in May 2025.

The panel discussion will confront the reality that illness, bereavement, mental health crises, and other major life challenges don't stop when employees clock in. The interactive session will move beyond standard HR policies to explore how organisations can cultivate truly human-centred cultures that support their people when they need it most, addressing the immense pressure on managers who often feel ill-equipped to handle sensitive situations.

"The cybersecurity profession faces unique psychological pressures that mirror the trauma we regularly treat in military veterans. With over half of cybersecurity professionals reporting serious mental health impacts from work-related stress, we cannot afford to maintain the 'professional façade' when it comes to mental wellbeing. This panel discussion will provide practical insights for organisations to better support their teams through both work-related trauma and personal crises."Colonel Tony Gauvain (Retired), Chairman of PTSD Resolution

Why this matters now

The partnership between PTSD Resolution and CIISec addresses a critical gap in mental health support for cybersecurity professionals, who face constant pressure defending against an estimated 8.58 million cyber crimes annually in the UK. Recent research from CIISec's State of the Profession report reveals that 51% of cybersecurity professionals experience serious mental health impacts from work-related stress.

Backed by CIISec's leadership

"The mental wellbeing of cybersecurity professionals is intrinsically linked to the security of our digital infrastructure. By providing our members with access to these specialist services, we're not only supporting individual wellbeing but also strengthening the UK's cyber defence capabilities through a more resilient workforce."Amanda Finch, CEO of CIISec

A proven approach

PTSD Resolution's Human Givens Therapy (HGT) approach has proven effective in treating executive burnout and trauma in high-pressure roles. The charity provides an average of seven therapy sessions per treatment programme, with services accessible without requiring employer or medical referral.
