"I was in service from 1983 to 2007. When I left the Forces I was running my own business as a plumbing and heating engineer until my health started to deteriorate and I had pneumonia. I had two marriage breakdowns.
"I met a new girl who recognised that I had some issues that seemed out of the ordinary. She managed to get me to seek help.
"I started with three visits to Combat Stress - it was residential and there was medication. I believe they made me realise I did have issues and set me on the road to the realisation that I needed help - however - outside the clinical environment reality hit.
