Born in 1908; commissioned at RMA Sandhurst in 1928.
Loan service in the Indian Army, 5/13 Frontier Force Rifles, attached to 10/13 FFR and Tochi Scouts.
Selected for the Indian Army Staff College, Quetta.
1941, fathered son Anthony de Putron; posted as Brigade Major, 8 Indian Infantry Brigade, Kota Bahru.
1942, injured in confused fighting in the Turong Road area, Singapore.
Reported as killed by the Japanese, in action, at the fall of Singapore.
