Red started Service in the British Army at the tender age of 15 years, 11 months with Junior Leaders RCT. Over the next 30 years he went from Private Soldier to Captain leaving on Tranche 4 of redundancies. On leaving he joined the Reserves for 4 years while relocating to Cyprus. Currently working within the Tactical Intelligence field delivering systems and training worldwide to Government, Military and LEA agencies.
Military and Sporting Leadership
While posted to Canada he became passionate about Ice Hockey. This led from becoming a player and coach then managing both RLC/Army Teams. This progressed to being involved with Help for Heroes and starting the BattleBack Bisons Sledge Hockey team and selected as Manager for GB Sledge Hockey team participating in many Paralympic Games.
Marathon and Community Volunteering
He spent 10 years organising the 250 strong volunteer military personnel who provided End of Race marshals for the London Marathon and assisting in planning security processes. He has also participated in dozens of Marathons worldwide, predominantly in fancy dress for charity.
Current Work and Expertise
On joining 'civvy street' he founded RedOne Training predominantly delivering First Aid and foundation courses and is also passionate engaging in and educating his two main hobbies, Scuba Diving as a Divemaster and Clay Target shooting as not only an instructor but also the only qualified Safety Officer Tutor in Cyprus.
