TATE
About TATE:
TATE (Trauma Awareness Training and Education) is a specialist mental health programme devised and delivered by PTSD Resolution, the award-winning charity offering support, training, and recovery pathways for trauma.
What TATE Offers:
Using the evidence-based Human Givens approach, TATE equips participants to:
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress
- Understand why these symptoms occur and how trauma 'works' (confusion and fear around symptoms plays a large part in individuals not seeking help)
- Develop practical strategies to support colleagues in distress and promote self-help
- Identify ways in which an organisation can create an environment that empowers staff to build resilience and thrive—even during difficult times
- Foster a culture of genuine understanding around trauma in the workplace
TATE has been delivered successfully to many organisations and individuals with outstanding delegate feedback and measurable improvements in confidence and capability.
What the Workshop Covers:
This interactive 3-hour workshop provides:
- An overview of the mental health continuum and essential human needs
- A model for understanding trauma and the symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTS)
- Insights into the fight-or-flight response and its links to stress, anxiety, anger, and performance
- The relationship between stress, burnout, trauma, sleep difficulties, depression, and addiction
- Practical ways to apply trauma awareness both in the workplace and at home
- Strategies for building resilience, preventing difficulties, and supporting recovery
- Guidance on accessing additional support and resources
No prior mental health training is required.
